CPI Security Launches Package Detection and Retrieval Alerts

Approximately 49 million Americans have had at least one package stolen in the last 12 months. With CPI Security’s Package Detection and Retrieval Alerts, you’ll always know when a package is delivered and picked up, whether that be by a trusted source or a package thief.

CPI Video Doorbell Pros are equipped with package detection and retrieval alerts. This new feature comes at no additional cost. All you have to do is set up or add a new IVAN rule to your Video Doorbell Pro. Watch the video and follow the steps below to set up package detection and retrieval alerts to your inTouch™ app.  

Note: You may need to log out and log back into your CPI Security inTouch℠ app to see the new feature. Additionally, you can only have one IVAN rule for each video device. You can add the package detection and retrieval alerts to any IVAN rule already created. 

How to Add Package Detection and Retrieval Alerts to an Existing IVAN Doorbell Rule 

1. Open the CPI inTouch app.
2. Click menu. 
3. Video.  
4. Settings. 
5. Recording Rules. 
6. Tap the “pencil” icon next to “Doorbell Person Detection Recording Schedule”.  If you renamed your doorbell rule, it may be under a different title.
7. Scroll to “Notification Triggers”. 
8. Toggle on “Package Delivery” and “Package Retrieval” notification triggers.  
9. Save.
